1. The short version
Govpie uses a small number of cookies — none for advertising. You can browse this marketing site at govpie.com without accepting any non-essential cookies. Analytics only runs after you accept the banner, and you can change your mind at any time.
2. The full list
| Cookie / key | Purpose | Category | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
govpie_cookie_consent |
Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics. Scoped
to .govpie.com so your choice carries across the
marketing site and the app without a second banner.
| Strictly necessary (PECR exempt) | 1 year |
ph_phc_* (PostHog)
|
Product analytics — page views, feature events, anonymous
device ID. Only set AFTER you accept the banner. Scoped to
.govpie.com so the same visitor is tracked as
one person across the marketing site and the app.
| Analytics (consent required) | Up to 12 months |
| Supabase session cookie (name varies) | Keeps you signed in on the app at dev.govpie.com. Not set by the marketing site at govpie.com. | Strictly necessary (only on the app) | Until sign-out or session expiry |
3. What we do NOT use
- No advertising cookies, ever.
- No third-party tracking pixels (no Meta Pixel, no Google Ads).
- No A/B testing cookies that persist across sessions.
- No cross-site tracking.
4. Changing your choice
To withdraw analytics consent: clear your browser storage for
govpie.com (and dev.govpie.com if you also
use the app). The next page load will show the banner again so you
can choose “Decline.”
Or email us at [email protected] and we will action a withdrawal on our side.
5. Relation to the Privacy Policy
This is a complement to our Privacy Policy — the privacy policy is the authoritative document for how personal data is handled; this page is the specific cookie detail that ICO guidance requires us to publish.
